Without Walls

Today is a simple thought that over my lifetime has come up often, and it’s this: Christians MUST get beyond the four walls

of a church building and start being salt and light in the world of everyday life with everyday people.


So often, Christians go to a particular church for entertainment purposes, making it all about them: coffee, snacks, music and message must cater to their likes or they will not return.


And yet going to church was to never be about us but rather a place to go and corporately worship Jesus and listen to Him speak. It’s all about Him and not about us at all.


THEN, it was to send us out with the Great Commission in the forefronts of our minds:

“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20


I look at the life of a Jesus and His disciples and they sought out the sick, the hurting, the possessed, the isolated, and the stray, and He healed them, cleansed them, and brought them back into the fold with Him as their Shepherd.


So, as fully devoted followers of Jesus, we MUST walk as Jesus walked by discovering the needs in our communities, cities, states and world, and helping make a difference.


One huge need that the Lord allowed me to see is the need for a safe, clean and Christ-centered environment, for women coming out of prison, to find hope and healing.


I purchased a place called The Deeper House in August of 2024 and we are about to have a very first graduate! It is incredibly difficult both relationally, emotionally and financially, and yet, incredibly rewarding to walk with these ladies and watch them find hope again.


I want to personally invite you to join me on Friday, December 5th for a FREE breakfast to hear more about The Deeper House, witness our first graduation, and see how you can be a part of what God is doing right in front of us! Bring your colleagues and family and friends and discover the deep needs in our city and how you can be a part. We will also be asking if you would be willing to prayerfully consider giving financially to help us continue what God is doing! We are a nonprofit and so all your donations are tax deductible.
