A Prepared Place

I hope you all were able to watch my new year address on my personal Facebook page. I truly believe that this is the year of the Word: us being in the Word of God and then, us speaking the Word of God!

As such, I am reading through the Bible and teaching every Sunday night at 8pm. They are all on my personal Facebook page, and I would encourage you to watch them and invite Holy Spirit to be your Teacher. He has so much good He wants to share with us!

As you spend time with Him, be reminded that He comes to a prepared place.

He Comes To

A Prepared Place

Jesus prepares a place for us:

He prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies” (Psalm 23)

"And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am" (John 14:3)

He prepares a place for me because:

  1. He anticipates my coming (He wants everything just right because He loves me so much! It brings Him great joy when I spend sacrificed and specified time with Him and Him alone.)

  2. He longs to bless me (While I am with Him, He wants to make me feel so very loved and adored)

  3. He wants to fill me until I am stuffed (Like Thanksgiving meals, He fills us to overflow! Those who hunger and thirst, WILL be filled!!! He fills us with His Spirit!)

  4. He wants His joy to remain in me until we meet like this again! In His presence there is fullness of joy!” (Psalm 16:11)

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)

So what do you do to prepare a place for Him?

  1. Consecrate (set aside) time that is sacred and private just for the two of you.

  2. Bring whatever you will need to create an atmosphere for undivided affection (worship) and attention to Him alone. (Candle lit, Bible open, journal and pen ready, worship music playing)

  3. Personally and sincerely invite Him to come and be with you. There’s nothing like a personal invitation.

  4. Offer yourself completely to Him and to your time together.

  5. Be still and wait. (Psalm 46:10)

  6. Listen and obey.

Lord prepare me, to be a sanctuary; pure and holy; tried and true. With thanksgiving, I’ll be a living sanctuary for You.”

Prepare your hearts for all He wants to do inside of you and then through you to love a lost and hurting world. 💙
