Seasons

Genesis 1: 14 “Then God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night. They will serve as signs for seasons, and for days and years.”

Seasons. God created them: Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. And what God reveals in the natural is indicative of what He wants us to understand in the spiritual. Just as we have physical seasons, we also have spiritual ones. Fun ones. Hard ones. Cold ones. Dry ones. If you’re alive, you’ve experienced seasons.

What season are you in right now?

If you don’t know the season, you are not prepared. Just as if you don’t know it is going to rain, you might not bring an umbrella with you. But when you know the season, you can gear up, study up, and grow up through that season.

We are coming out of the summer months where many get into what I call the summer spiritual slumps. If that’s you, I encourage you to ask the Holy Spirit what season you are in and then surround yourself with people in a similar season, or those who have made it through a similar season, to encourage you as you navigate through.

For a season of doubt about God, there is the LOVE study. For a season of discovering healthy relationships, there is the CONNECT study. For a season of spiritual warfare, there is the FIGHT study. For a season of desiring to hear from God, there is the FOCUS study. For a season of forgetting who you are, there is the YOU study. And for those who are in a season of bondage to fear, anxiety, depression and more, there is the FREE study.

May I encourage you to reach out to a few friends and grab one of these studies and press into this season you find yourself in. I believe, based on His Word, that when You seek Him you will find Him, and much growth will occur as you lean into what He has to say to you in this season of your life.

So, ask the Holy Spirit about your season, and then take the risk and gather some other girls in a similar season, and press in to one of these Bible Studies! I believe it will be such an amazing time in God’s presence, and you will be forever changed, and make lifelong friends!
