It’s Fall Y’all

Around this time of year, I always talked to my children about how the leaves were changing and how Jesus is also changing us to look more and more like Him.

2 Corinthians 3:18 says “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

But as I was talking with the Lord about a need for revival in our nation, He shared with me something a little deeper: leaves also die and fall to the ground.

Immediately, my mind began rushing through with Scripture after Scripture!

Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

John 12:24: “Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.”

He reminded me, “Something must first die before it can be revived.”

Revival Comes When

There Is First A Death.

The little girl who died and Jesus said, “Little girl, get up.”

Lazarus, who died and Jesus said, “Loose him and let him go.”

There was a death required before new life could come. JESUS died so that we would be resurrected to new life!

2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

So some questions that you might want to discuss with the Lord are: Just like the leaves, what needs to be dropped out of your life? What needs to fall from your life? What needs to die so it can be resurrected? Is it your false identity that is keeping you from your purpose? Is it your fear that holds you back from love? Is it a bad relationship that keeps you spiraling down?

Maybe these need to die so that your true identity as a son and daughter of the King can be revived. Maybe so that love can be received and then begin to overflow on others around you. Maybe it is so that new, healthy relationships can be developed.

In this season, let’s ask God what needs to fall like the leaves and die so that our hearts can be revived.

As I sit here on this beautiful fall day which is also my birthday reading this blog. I had to take a deep breath in and exhale and give thanks for all that God has done to restore and transform and resurrect my life into what it is today. Can I just shout HALLELUJAH!!!!

If you know me you know my story if you don't know my story there has been a lot of pain and loss in it. There also been a lot of victories that only the power of God could hold and allow to fall off of me.

This blog has remind me of all the death that has fallen off of me to allow God to…

Yes mam! Praise God! I feel like I went through a spiritual death and resurrection last year and so thankful I did! The sweet surrender of dying to self and living for him is like no other place! I don’t want anything else!

Yes! I think that we must always stay in a posture before the Lord of revelation: reveal to me what needs to go and what needs to grow. Evaluate and eliminate. Just like my Mama tends to her flowers daily, we must tend to our hearts. 💙
