Embracing Every Season

In Genesis, God created the seasons. Have you ever wondered why? I mean, He didn’t need to know when various seasons were! No, He created seasons for us! He knew we would need to know the season we were in so we could better understand them and partner with what He was doing!

Summer: burning heat that can weigh us down. Heat that surfaces the sin, shame, and selfishness in us. Heat that burns with passion for Jesus.
Fall: the changing of the leaves as the winds blow them around, reminds us of transitions and transformation as change takes place as we seek God’s purpose for us.
Winter: a cold, dark, and often empty and lonely season where things often die. The closer we grow in intimacy with Jesus, the more things of the flesh have to die.
Spring: rapid blooms, accelerated growth, and beautifully blossoming! That’s what a Spring season is like! And there are new fragrances in the air! You are tasting and seeing and growing in the Lord and smelling more and more like His fragrance!
Ecclesiastes 3:1 says “In everything there is a season”. That tells us that there is purpose in every season! And I trust and believe that the Lord is with us in every season! So what does that mean for us?
1) that every season will have a set of circumstances that God has allowed, to reveal to you something about Him that you couldn’t truly understand or learn any other way.
2) that the way each season becomes beneficial, is when we surrender to God’s work within us through each one. It’s when we trust and entrust our souls to the Lord. When we embrace the season and do our best to partner with what God wants to do inside of us.
Don’t know what season you are in? Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal it to you! And then submit yourself in humble trust to His working in you during that season! Embracing each season will be so incredibly rewarding as you navigate each one with the Lord!
You are SO loved,
Jena
