Not too long ago, right before Christmas, our daughter and her husband went with Dale and me to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. One day, we made a trip to Dollywood. Now for those who do not know it, Dollywood has 12 rollercoasters that have been rated some of the best in the world!
Jorja, our daughter, has had her moments of not wanting to ride some rollercoasters in the past, but when we made it to Dollywood, she said, “Today, I’m riding every ride. Full Send.”
I was like, “Full Send”? What does that mean? Yes, I will admit that I was clueless. She laughed at me and then defined “full send” as “all in”. It means that you are going to forget your fears or apprehensions and just do it!
That daughter of mine rode every single roller coaster and had the time of her life! Though there were a few where she was breathing heavily and just hoping the ride would end soon, she finished every single ride!!!
In my time with the Lord, I have felt His nudge to ask myself “Am I all in?” Are we as God’s called and chosen people “ all in”? Have we declared that we will forget our fears, surrender the past hurts, and sideline our apprehensions, and go after more of God, full send?
Full Send must be our response to Follow Me.
Paul said it like this: “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:13-14)
So as we embark on 2023, may we spiritually go FULL SEND. May we be “all in” in following the Words and ways of Jesus. Study, serve, worship, pray, rest and give. It's time we went FULL SEND.
