Making it Stick

how to keep your WORD before you

Both of my children no longer live at home; so you can only imagine how excited I was to have everyone under my roof for Christmas! It was only a few short days, but I can promise you, I made the most of every moment and sought to etch it all in my heart and mind! I just kept thinking, “I never want to forget these moments!”

I believe that God knows how easily we forget. When the law was given to God’s chosen people, here’s what Moses said to the people, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheadsWrite them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.” ~Deuteronomy 6:5-9~

Moses told God’s people to keep the commandments ever before them. As long as they focused on them, they would not forget

 FOCUSING KEEPS US FROM FORGETTING

Yesterday, I have encouraged you to ask God for your WORD for the year (to read about it, click HERE!) Today, I wanted to share with you the value of keeping your WORD before you every single day, so that you will remain focused and pursuant of your WORD all year long.

I can think of no better way than having your WORD impressed upon a necklace. Just recently, I met a local artist named Lucy who creates amazing jewelry (to find out more about Lucy and to see her collection, click HERE)! She began using architectural salvage, old keys, and other vintage pieces to create jewelry that tells a story. Her unique designs are like none you have ever seen before, and each piece is handcrafted to make each one special and personal. She is partnering with us to create a one-of-a-kind necklace with your WORD for the year imprinted on it! They are absolutely stunning! It is her hopes that your necklace will be a special part of sharing your story with those around you.

She loves the Lord and is using her God-given abilities to inspire and encourage others so I want us to bless her above and beyond! So click HERE and order your WORD necklace today! Don’t wait, because she will only have them available for a short period of time!!!

Just think about it: every time you put your WORD necklace on, you’ll be reminded of the WORD God gave you to focus on this year! Every time you are in front of a mirror, you’ll see it and be reminded again! And each time someone asks about your necklace, you’ll be reminded, AND get the joy of sharing how God gave you your WORD!!! I truly believe it will be the best investment you have ever made to keep God’s WORD for your year ever before you. AND, you’ll be supporting a Christian woman who is seeking to use her talents and abilities for the glory of God and the serving of others!! It’s a win, win! I am going to use my Christmas money for this one!

As Moses continued in Deuteronomy 6, he told the people that when they got into the Promised Land and got busy with all that was there to tend to, “be careful that you do not forget the Lord“. (vrs 12) The WORD the Lord gives you is not to replace but rather enhance the most important thing, and that is your relationship with Jesus Christ. Let your WORD remind you of His presence, His power, and His love for you.

May we be careful not to forget the WORD the Lord has given us, so He can accomplish through us the purpose for which He gave us the WORD in the first place.

You are loved!
